TERMS OF AGREEMENT FOR

HANDS TO HOLD RESOURCE CENTER

  • The adoptive parent or parents (referred to as adoptive family thru out this agreement) understand that Hands to Hold Resource Center is not a licensed child placing agency, an attorney who provides legal advice or places children for adoption, or a facilitator that facilitates the match process or offers a match service between an expectant/birth parent and adoptive families. Nor does Hands to Hold Resource Center advertise, counsel, solicit, have contact with or the ability to influence any decisions of an expectant/birth parents either directly or indirectly.
  • The adoptive family understands that Hands to Hold Resource Centers has a service fee of $2,500 which is due upon a contract acceptance with an entity for which Hands to Hold Resource Center had provided assistance on behalf of the adoptive family. The service fee is non-refundable as services are provided up front and services are considered rendered upon the contract agreement. The fee paid to Hands to Hold Resource Center will roll over to another situation/opportunity for which is available should an adoptive family have a disruption thru no fault of their own. The service fee covers but is not limited to providing consulting, profile assistance, printing/binding and shipping of profiles, coordinating and assisting adoptive families in their marketing and networking efforts to establish a relationship with an agency, attorney and/or facilitator.
  • The adoptive family understands that their contract agreement with Hands to Hold Resource Center is for one (1) year beginning from the time they are referred to an entity for consideration NOT from the date of registration for our service. Please see our FAQ for more details regarding this agreement.
  • The adoptive family understands that Hands to Hold Resource Center does not collect a service fee up front to be considered for an available situation/opportunity. However, if the adoptive family backs out/withdrawals after asking to be considered and/or is selected by an expectant/birth mom, Hands to Hold Resource Center will close the adoptive family's registration file. The file can only be re-activated with a non-refundable commitment fee of $100. The adoptive family may continue to pass on situations/opportunities that are shared with them as often as they elect to do so. However once a commitment is made to be considered for an available situation/opportunity we ask that the family be fully financially and emotionally committed. Otherwise this policy will apply.
  • The adoptive family understands that Hands to Hold Resource Center has established a business relationship with other entities and entities placing children for adoption. The adoptive family understands that all situation/opportunities that are presented to the adoptive family by Hands to Hold Resource Center are shared directly with Hands to Hold Resource Center from those entities in an effort to seek additional assistance for difficult, harder to place situation or when the entity is in need of additional families. The reasons will vary with each situation/opportunity. Hands to Hold Resource Center does not and will not have any direct or indirect contact with the expectant/birth parent the adoption entities have as clients.
  • The adoptive family understands that the design of Hands to Hold Resource Center is to provide an adoptive family with additional resources and support they may need as they work towards a successful adoption plan by providing services such as consulting, profile assistance, network and marketing and sharing available adoption situations/opportunities that may otherwise not have be made known to the families (small agency that does not post on the web, primarily advertises locally, lacks resource to recruit additional adoptive families..). This is not inclusive of our service to an adoptive family; it is only shared as an example. Each adoptive family will have different varying levels of needed assistance.
  • Hands to Hold Resource Center can not and does not provide legal advice. Please do not ask. We do recommend that an adoptive family consult with legal counsel in the state the child will be born or resides and the state of which the adoptive family reside.
  • Hands to Hold Resource Center will work very hard to ensure the confidential information of the adoption entity and the adoptive family. The adoptive family’s information will only be released to the requesting entity upon approval. If the adoptive family does not provide their approval to release their registration information, that information will not be released to the entity for consideration.
  • Hands to Hold Resource Center is not responsible for any omissions, errors or changes in the information provided to Hands to Hold Resource Center by the contacting entity. Hands to Hold Resource Center will make every effort in good faith to ensure the information provided to us from the contacting entity is correct and free of errors to the best of our ability. The adoptive family agrees to hold Hands to Hold Resource Center harmless for any and all liabilities associated with the information.
  • Hands to Hold Resource Center’s Limitation of Liability is limited to and shall not exceed the actual service fee paid. Hands to Hold Resource Center will not be held liable for any financial loss, emotion distress or physical damage resulting from an adoptive family’s contract agreement with a child placing entity. We suggest you read each contract carefully and consider each situation/opportunity accordingly.
  • Hands to Hold Resource Center is entitled to a monetary relief upon a breach of these Terms of Agreement. Hands to Hold Resource Center reserves the right to seek resolution through any resource for any unpaid service fee accounts.
