Full Hispanic baby GIRL due August 15th in Texas

OPEN ADOPTION WITH VISITS IN TEXAS EVERY OTHER YEAR

Catholic family ONLY - Expectant mom will not consider families who are not of Catholic faith

Expectant mom is 24 yrs old, Hispanic, black hair and brown eyes. She is 100 lbs pre-pregnant and 4”9 in tall. This is her 4 th pregnancy. She is struggling to parent 3 small children and does not feel she has the available resources to parent another child. Her family is supportive of her decision. The expectant mom began her prenatal the end of May after being taken to the hospital due to a fall on the street. She feel on her stomach and was taken to the hospital for an examination. After many test and several hours of observation she was cleared for release. There was no injury or concern for the baby. She denies any use of drugs or alcohol with this pregnancy. She does admit to only smoking occasionally – the last time was 2 weeks ago. She notes that her mother has had depression for 7 years (mother was beaten by expectant moms father for which she witnessed as a child, they are divorced). There are no other mental family concerns. Her grandmother and a niece who was born prematurely have asthma, she has a maternal grandmother who suffers from alzheimer’s, her father abused drugs and alcohol, and her mother has thyroid related issues that are being monitored by a doctor.

The expectant father is known. The only information about him is that he is Hispanic. He is aware of the pregnancy and the adoption plan. He wants the expectant mom to place this child with his mother but the expectant mom told him she would refuse to do that so he does not want anything to do with her or this child. He has been in and out of prison for many years. He does not want to parent this child. The attorney will send him the adoption documents along with a medical questionnaire. He may or may not cooperate and complete the information. In Texas if a birth father does not sign the Texas Paternity Registry within 31 days of the birth of a child then his rights are terminated by default. The attorney will terminate accordingly.

The expectant mom is looking for a Married Tradition family who is Catholic. Both parents must be Catholic. The family need to have less than 2 children (bio or adopted). The adoptive family needs to be supportive of an open adoption with pictures and letters twice a year through the agency and a visit with the birth mom at the agency’s office in Texas every other year. She would like to meet the family prior to the delivery and then have the family at the hospital for the delivery so they may begin bonding with the baby at birth. The fees for this opportunity are $39,900 for everything but finalization and travel to Texas. Of the fee $3,650 is due at match with the remaining due at placement. The expectant mom has asked to view profiles on Wed July 1 st – we will need profiles emailed to us by no later than June 30th to be submitted for consideration. NOT OPEN TO NYS FAMILIES OR FAMILIES OUTSIDE THE U.S
